Uzbekistan, Oman to Expand Cultural and Scientific Ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bahromjon Aloev, held a meeting in Muscat on 1 July 2026 with the Chairman of the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science, Habib Al-Riyami.
The parties discussed prospects for the further development of cooperation in the fields of culture, science, and education.
During the talks, special attention was paid to the implementation of new joint initiatives aimed at expanding bilateral interaction in the humanitarian sphere.
The participants of the meeting reviewed opportunities for strengthening cooperation between relevant scientific and cultural institutions of Uzbekistan and Oman, organizing scientific conferences, exhibitions, and other cultural and educational events.
In addition, the sides exchanged views on the provision of educational grants and supporting initiatives aimed at broadly promoting the rich historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan and Oman.
