Uzbekistan Military Wins Medals at World Cup in Türkiye

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The World Cup in universal fight was held in the Turkish city of Mersin from April 24 to 28, bringing together around 400 athletes from 20 countries.

The Uzbekistan national team, composed of servicemen from the Border Troops of the State Security Service, delivered strong performances across multiple disciplines and secured several medals.

Junior Sergeant Alisher Choriyev won the gold medal in the classical category.

Sergeant Third Class Sabokhat Kholmatova earned two medals, taking gold in the classical category and bronze in the light category.

Sergeant Third Class Zarniгор Yorbekova claimed a bronze medal, while Lieutenant Sodiр Mahmudov secured a silver medal.

According to the overall team standings, Uzbekistan finished in second place, confirming the high level of preparation of its athletes and the competitiveness of the national team on the international stage.
