Uzbekistan, Korea to Expand Cooperation in Arts

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Culture and Arts Development Foundation and Arts Council Korea (ARKO) have agreed to expand cooperation in culture and the arts. The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on 5 September.

The document provides for joint projects in several areas, including exhibition and curatorial activities, research initiatives, and exchanges between artists and relevant specialists from the two countries.

Cooperation between museums and other cultural institutions in Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea will be another area of collaboration. The sides also plan to develop professional contacts and exchange experience in museum work.

Under the agreement, the parties will study different approaches to supporting and developing the arts, as well as modern museum practices.

This format of cooperation is expected to contribute to expanding professional exchanges between representatives of the cultural sectors of the two countries.
