Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan Approve Investment Action Plan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A ceremony to sign a Practical Action Plan on the implementation of agreements in the fields of investment and trade between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan was held in Astana during the working visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The signing took place in the presence of the heads of state of both countries.
The document, described as a “roadmap,” is aimed at implementing previously reached agreements following meetings between the presidents held in Bukhara and Turkestan in April–May of this year.
The plan envisages the development of joint projects across a number of key sectors, including automotive manufacturing, energy, chemical and metallurgical industries, pharmaceuticals, logistics, construction materials production, housing construction, agriculture, and other areas.
The implementation of the document is expected to ensure fulfillment of agreements reached within the framework of interstate dialogue on expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the two countries.
