Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with Japan’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Arfiya Eri, during which the sides discussed further development of the expanded strategic partnership between the two countries.

During the talks, specific steps were identified to implement agreements reached at previous high-level meetings. Special attention was given to the consistent development of bilateral cooperation and the strengthening of political dialogue.

The sides confirmed the priority of expanding cooperation within the “Central Asia + Japan” format, including areas of green development, deepening trade and economic ties, and intensifying interparliamentary engagement.

Both parties noted their readiness to further strengthen long-term and sustainable cooperation based on mutual trust and partnership principles.
