Two Vehicles Burn After Kamchik Pass Highway Crash

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Two vehicles caught fire following a traffic accident on the A-373 highway through the Kamchik Pass on the morning of 2 August.

According to preliminary information, at about 08:20 an Isuzu truck travelling from Tashkent to Vodil developed a technical fault. The driver pulled the vehicle over to the roadside.

A short time later, the driver of a Chevrolet Epica travelling in the same direction lost control of the vehicle and collided with the rear of the truck.

The impact triggered a fire that completely destroyed both vehicles.

The driver of the Epica and one of the passengers sustained minor injuries. They received first aid at the scene.

Personnel from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the traffic patrol service responded promptly to the incident.

Traffic was brought under control, and measures are being taken to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
