Uzbekistan finds safety issues in Aux, Hisense AC units
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Inspections in Tashkent have identified safety and regulatory compliance issues in air conditioners manufactured by Chinese brands Aux and Hisense, according to the city’s territorial department of the Technical Regulation Inspection Authority.
The authority conducted test purchases at retail outlets across the capital as part of a monitoring exercise targeting these products.
The results showed that Aux air conditioners do not comply with the technical regulation on electromagnetic compatibility of technical equipment. This indicates that the devices failed to meet established requirements related to resistance against and emission of electromagnetic interference.
Separately, Hisense air conditioners were also found to be non-compliant with applicable standards. In particular, inspectors recorded excessive nominal power consumption compared with regulatory thresholds.
The findings suggest that part of the products on the market do not meet established technical and safety requirements.
Consumers have been advised to carefully check certification documents and technical specifications when purchasing household appliances in order to ensure product quality and safety.
The inspection authority stated that appropriate enforcement measures are being taken in response to the identified violations. Consumers may report suspected substandard or counterfeit products via the hotline 1880.
