Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Ferghana Region will assess the feasibility of building a modern greenhouse complex powered by renewable energy, following talks between regional governor Khayrullo Bozorov and a delegation from South Korean company GH EnA.
The delegation was led by the company’s general manager, Jin Myong Choi, according to the Ferghana regional administration.
The meeting focused on implementing agreements reached during a working visit by the regional delegation to South Korea and moving the proposed project towards practical implementation.
GH EnA representatives presented technologies that use heat from the air, geothermal energy and water heat. According to the company, these solutions could reduce natural gas and coal consumption during winter, improve the reliability of energy supplies and increase crop yields.
Bozorov highlighted the importance of introducing advanced, energy-efficient technologies in agriculture and expressed his readiness to support the initiative.
The parties agreed to assess the conditions for implementing the project in Dangara District, prepare a detailed action plan and continue their cooperation.
The regional administration did not specify the planned greenhouse’s capacity or construction timeline.
