Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Central Bank of Uzbekistan is developing a ranking of commercial banks to assess their contribution to expanding access to financial services for individuals and businesses.

The ranking will consider the availability of banking products to individuals and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.

The assessment will take into account not only access to services but also the convenience, security and quality of their delivery.

On 30 October 2026, the Central Bank held a discussion with representatives of commercial banks on the methodology for compiling the ranking, assessment criteria and preliminary calculation results.

Participants reviewed the data used to calculate the ranking indicators, assessed its reliability and discussed ways to further improve the methodology.

The initiative aims to expand access to financial services for individuals and businesses, promote healthy competition among commercial banks and improve the quality of banking services.
