Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Competition Committee is conducting an investigation into WB Taxi following consumer complaints and to assess the service’s compliance with legislation. During the first eight months of the year, the agency recorded about 20 complaints and social media posts related to the aggregator’s operations, the Competition Committee reported.

According to complainants, WB Taxi vehicles do not always arrive at the address specified when an order is placed. Users have also reported the lack of a feedback function for communicating with drivers and claimed that the operator does not take the necessary measures in response to citizens’ complaints.

As part of its review of WB Taxi’s operations, the Committee identified “insufficient compliance” with the requirements of the laws on Consumer Protection and Electronic Commerce.

The agency also noted non-compliance with certain requirements for protecting the rights of consumers and businesses that apply to digital platforms with a dominant status or superior bargaining power.

Citizens’ complaints remain under the Committee’s supervision. The agency has sent WB Taxi a request concerning compliance with legislation, the organization of feedback between passengers and drivers, and the provision of necessary information.

Wildberries’ taxi service began operating in Tashkent in December 2025 for a limited group of users. Access was provided through an invitation link or a waiting list.

On 23 March, the service became available to all users. Three months later, the company announced the launch of WB Taxi in Samarkand. Since July, the aggregator has also operated in Bukhara.
