Uzbekistan clinches narrow victory over Yemen

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan claimed the first victory in the Group H of the second joint qualification round of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and 2019 AFC Asian Cup.

In home match Samvel Babayan’s side recorded a 1-0 victory over Yemen. Aleksandr Geinrikh scored a goal from the free-kick on 51 minutes.

Uzbekistan registered the first three points after two matches in Group H. On 8 September, Uzbekistan will face Philippines in an away match.
