Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan resume negotiations on border issues

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan resumed a negotiation process on delimitation and demarcation of the state borders, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

On 27-30 March 2017, Turkmenabat held a meeting of working groups of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission on delimitation and demarcation of the Uzbek-Turkmen State border.

The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere, and in the spirit of constructive dialogue. As a result of the meeting, a plan of negotiations for 2017 was agreed upon.
