Uzbekistan and Petronas Expand Oil and Gas Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Within the framework of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum, Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov held a meeting with Tan Sri Muhammad Hassan bin Marican, Chairman of the Advisory Committee under the Prime Minister of Malaysia and adviser to Petronas.
During the talks, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for further expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia in the oil and gas and gas chemical sectors.
The parties exchanged views on the results of the implementation of joint projects in the energy sector, opportunities for expanding investment cooperation, introducing modern technologies, as well as developing and processing hydrocarbon resources.
Particular attention was paid to training highly qualified personnel, exchanging experience, and implementing mutually beneficial projects in the industry.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed to continue cooperation in expanding geological exploration, developing promising hydrocarbon fields, advancing production and processing projects, and training specialists at Petronas University.
