Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan's Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, met with the head of the Republic of Mordovia, Artem Zdunov, on 20 August 2026 to discuss expanding trade, economic ties, and industrial cooperation, UzDaily.uz reported.

The discussions focused on implementing joint projects in sectors including pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, metallurgy, agriculture, woodworking, and information technology. The two sides also examined potential locations for new manufacturing facilities within industrial parks located in Uzbekistan's Bukhara, Navoi, and Jizzakh regions, as well as measures to strengthen direct contacts between enterprises.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to accelerate work on specific joint investment and cooperation initiatives. Relevant government agencies and business sector representatives from both regions will continue working together to implement the initiatives.
