Uzbekistan and Malta to cooperate in fighting crime and drugs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Governments of Uzbekistan and Malta signed an Agreement on cooperation in fighting against organized crime, contraband, and illegal drug traffic and psychotropic substances, Jahon news agency reported.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the UK Otabek Akbarov and Senior Commissioner (Ambassador) of Malta in the UK Joseph Tabon signed the agreement in London, the report said.

"Signing of this important agreement will open the way for further deepening of mutually beneficial connections between Uzbekistan and Malta, expansion of legal basis of bilateral relations," Maltese Ambassador Joseph Tabon stated.
