Uzbekistan and KFW expand cooperation in key sectors

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 19 March, the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, met with Veronica Garcia del Arco, Director of the Department for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia at the German Development Bank KFW.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed key areas of ongoing cooperation and further steps to strengthen economic ties between Uzbekistan and KFW.

Special attention was given to the prospects of attracting the bank’s technical and financial support for investment projects in healthcare, education, critical mineral extraction, agriculture, and energy.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in expanding dialogue and deepening their partnership in the discussed areas.
