Uzbekistan and Japan Launch IT Talent Training Program
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A memorandum of understanding was signed in Tokyo between the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and FPT Consulting Japan Co., Ltd., aiming to develop cooperation in information technology and IT workforce training.
The document is focused on building a system for training competitive IT specialists tailored to the needs of the Japanese market, as well as expanding educational and technological cooperation between the two countries.
As part of the agreement, a grant of US$1 million will be allocated to support the development of digital competencies and IT talent training in Uzbekistan.
The parties discussed the introduction of joint educational programs, expansion of remote employment opportunities, and the growth of digital service exports. Special attention was given to integrating Uzbek specialists into international technology projects.
Another key area of cooperation will be Japanese language training with a focus on IT-related terminology, as well as the development of professional and communication skills aligned with Japanese business culture. The program also aims to prepare specialists for employment in Japanese companies.
The initiative is seen as a step toward strengthening Uzbekistan’s position in the global IT services market and expanding the export potential of its digital economy.
