Uzbekistan and HRL Discuss Geological Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 27 April 2026, the Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of Uzbekistan, Rustam Yusupov, held talks with a delegation from the Pakistani company Habib Rafiq Engineering Pvt. Ltd. (HRL), led by Executive Director Abid Chima. Representatives of the ministry and Uzbek Overseas Geology Company also attended the meeting.

During the discussions, the Uzbek side presented ongoing reforms in the country’s geology and mining sector, along with recent progress in industry development.

HRL representatives expressed interest in studying Uzbekistan’s experience in the exploration and development of mineral deposits and confirmed their readiness to engage in joint projects using accumulated technical expertise.

The parties also discussed prospects for further cooperation, including the preparation and signing of a joint roadmap between HRL and Uzbek Overseas Geology Company. The document is expected to define concrete steps for expanding collaboration in the sector.
