Uzbekistan and Germany Launch New Joint Development Projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Following talks in Tashkent, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier adopted a joint statement confirming their intention to strengthen multifaceted bilateral cooperation.

As part of the visit, an exchange ceremony of signed documents was held between the sides. Agreements were concluded in the field of financial cooperation, providing for grant funding and concessional financing for the implementation of sustainable urban development projects in Uzbekistan.

In the presence of the leaders of the two countries, a series of new investment and education initiatives were launched. These include projects in industry, logistics, and personnel training.

Key directions include the organization of large-scale assembly of Volkswagen vehicles in Tashkent, the creation of a logistics center in Andijan region, the launch of production of liquid household detergents, as well as the development of a training system for railway specialists and the opening of modern examination centers.

The implementation of these initiatives is aimed at expanding industrial cooperation, developing infrastructure, creating new jobs, and further strengthening the Uzbekistan-Germany partnership.
