Uzbekistan and Germany Expand Dual Education Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation of rectors from higher education institutions in Uzbekistan visited the Federal Republic of Germany from 8 to 13 June, where the sides discussed the development of dual education, scientific and educational integration, and industrial cooperation.
During the visit, representatives of Uzbek universities held meetings with leading German institutions, including Anhalt University, Technical University of Munich, Kempten University of Applied Sciences, HDBW University, and Potsdam University of Applied Sciences. The delegation also visited industrial companies MAN Truck & Bus SE and TESVOLT.
The main focus of the discussions was the study of Germany’s experience in practice-oriented and dual education, as well as mechanisms for cooperation between universities and industrial enterprises. The parties discussed student training aligned with labor market needs, academic mobility, commercialization of research, and the development of the startup ecosystem.
Special attention was given to language training, international certification, organization of student internships, and future employment opportunities for graduates in Germany and Europe.
At the end of the visit, an international roundtable was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany dedicated to Germany’s dual education system and prospects for further cooperation.
During the event, agreements were signed on cooperation between educational and industrial organizations of the two countries.
The agreements reached are aimed at expanding dual education programs, developing exchange programs for teachers and students, implementing joint scientific and practical projects, and training specialists competitive in the international labor market.
