Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The staging of the fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF-2026) and the regular meeting of the Foreign Investors Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan highlighted the continuity of the structural reforms being implemented in the country and its commitment to an open economy.

The Head of State, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, emphasized that the Foreign Investors Council has successfully transformed from a standard consultative body into a reliable platform for the practical implementation of reforms and a bridge between the republic and the global business community. Reflecting the growing confidence of international partners, the Council's membership expanded significantly, increasing from 54 to 85 participants.

On the sidelines of the investment forum, a bilateral meeting was held between the republic's leadership and Wang Bo, Chairman of the Board of the major Chinese corporation CAMCE (China CAMC Engineering). The central theme of the negotiations focused on prospects for launching socially significant projects.

The parties held a substantive review of initiatives to construct a high-tech rehabilitation center for people with disabilities in Uzbekistan, alongside the creation of a modern infrastructure for the development of adaptive sports. These projects are aimed at systematically expanding the inclusive environment within the national social protection framework and radically improving the quality of specialized services provided.

During the dialogue, the sides agreed on an roadmap to transition into the practical phase of cooperation, paying special attention to coordination mechanisms and effective project monitoring. The meeting culminated in the signing of an official Memorandum of Understanding between Uzbekistan and the CAMCE corporation.

This document establishes the regulatory and legal foundation for a long-term partnership in the social sphere. The agreements reached during the Tashkent forum are expected to directly contribute not only to the inflow of foreign capital but also to the well-being of citizens through investments in human potential development.
