Uzbekistan and Asseco Discuss Digitalization Projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Oleg Pekos, held a meeting with the Chargé d'Affaires of Poland in Uzbekistan, Marian Przeździecki, and the Vice President of Asseco International, Przemyslaw Senczkowski. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in digital transformation and the implementation of major IT projects, according to the Ministry of Digital Technologies.
During the talks, the sides reviewed opportunities for cooperation in electronic government, financial technologies, artificial intelligence, data processing centers, and the implementation of state and corporate digital projects.
The Polish representatives were briefed on reforms underway in Uzbekistan to develop the digital economy, the growth of IT service exports, conditions created for IT Park residents, support mechanisms for foreign companies, and major investment projects aimed at developing digital infrastructure.
Special attention was paid to the development of artificial intelligence. The meeting participants received information about specific incentives for AI and data center projects in Karakalpakstan, the creation of artificial intelligence laboratories initiated by the President, and the training system for highly qualified IT specialists.
The parties also discussed the implementation of Asseco International's solutions in Uzbekistan for public administration, the banking sector, healthcare, and other industries, as well as the execution of joint projects, local specialist training, and knowledge sharing.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue dialogue on developing practical cooperation, study the possibility of establishing Asseco International's operations in Uzbekistan, and jointly implement mutually beneficial projects.
As part of the visit, the delegation also familiarized themselves with the activities of UZINFOCOM and its projects in digital government, state information systems, data processing centers, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.
