According to the publication's source, the management of the Uzbekistan Football Association has decided to maintain its trust in the Italian specialist. Following the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup, Cannavaro will continue to lead the national team in preparation for the next major international tournament, the Asian Cup, which will be held in Saudi Arabia.
The publication notes that the coaching staff will be tasked with achieving a high result at the continental championship, including competing for the championship title.
