Uzbekistan and Air Products Expand Energy Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Within the framework of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jurabek Mirzamahmudov held a meeting with Eduardo Menezes, Chief Executive Officer of the US company Air Products.

During the talks, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States in the energy, oil and gas, and gas chemical sectors.

The parties exchanged views on the implementation of investment projects in Uzbekistan, the introduction of modern technologies, the production of high value-added products, and ensuring the sustainable development of industries.

It was noted that the consistent development of the Uzbekistan–US strategic partnership in recent years has raised energy cooperation to a new level. The importance of high-level contacts and previously reached agreements between the leaders of the two countries was also emphasized.

Following the meeting, the parties reached agreements to promote promising investment projects and further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation.
