Uzbekistan and AD Ports Group Discuss Logistics Projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 15 June, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, held talks with a delegation from AD Ports Group led by Farooq Al Zaar, Chairman of the logistics cluster.

The discussions focused on prospects for cooperation in the digital transformation of trade and logistics, as well as the development of modern transport and logistics infrastructure in Uzbekistan.

Special attention was given to an initiative to create a digital platform aimed at simplifying trade procedures, increasing transparency of cargo flows, and ensuring integration of customs, transport, tax, and logistics processes.

The two sides also reviewed opportunities to use data analytics to identify priority locations for dry ports, logistics hubs, free economic zones, and international transport corridors.

Following the meeting, participants confirmed their interest in continuing practical work on projects aimed at strengthening Uzbekistan’s role as a regional trade and logistics hub.
