Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A national Made in Uzbekistan exhibition is being held in Seoul as part of the Uzbekistan-Korea Interregional Forum, showcasing Uzbekistan’s export potential on the South Korean market.

The exhibition, supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, features 69 types of export-oriented products from 32 major manufacturing companies, the event organizers said.

The exhibition stands feature dried and processed fruits and vegetables, natural juices, spices, legumes, confectionery, national dishes and other food products. Guests can also sample Uzbek dishes, including plov, moshkichiri, nohat shorak, jiz and kovurdok.

Participants said Korean companies have shown interest in dried fruits and vegetables, apricots, nuts, sesame, pumpkin seed oil, hot peppers, coriander, confectionery and soft drinks.

Negotiations are under way with representatives of Korean trading companies, including E-Mart and Singshun LLP, on supplying Uzbek products to the South Korean market, increasing trade volumes and implementing new joint projects.

The exhibition also features B2B meetings and business forums, where entrepreneurs discuss commercial agreements, the development of trade ties and prospects for investment cooperation.

Together with the Trade House of Uzbekistan in Korea, work is under way to launch new mechanisms for bringing finished and processed Uzbek products with high added value to the South Korean market.
