Uzbek President Mirziyoyev to Visit Serbia on 7-8 Sept

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to Serbia on 7–8 September 2026 at the invitation of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, according to the press service of the Uzbek head of state.

High-level negotiations and a joint business forum featuring representatives from official and business circles of both countries are scheduled to take place in Belgrade.

The central focus of the upcoming talks will be the further strengthening of the multifaceted partnership between Uzbekistan and Serbia. Both parties intend to pay special attention to expanding trade, economic, and investment ties. Discussions will cover the implementation of joint projects in transportation, machine building, light and food industries, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and information technology.

Organized labor migration will serve as a distinct area of negotiations during the visit. In addition, the sides will review opportunities to expand interregional, cultural, and humanitarian connections.

The planned business forum will bring together official and commercial representatives from Uzbekistan and Serbia to discuss practical interaction prospects and prospective joint projects. Following the summit, the two nations plan to sign a package of intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements.
