Uzbek light industry produces goods for 4.31 trln. soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Light industry enterprises of Uzbekistan produced goods for 4.314 trillion soums in January-September, which grew by 13.2% year-on-year, the State Statistics Committee of the country said.

The textile enterprises of Uzbekistan produced goods for 3.649 trillion soums, which rose by 10.6% year-on-year, the committee said.

Ginneries of Uzbekistan increased cotton-fiber output by 2.6%, cotton seeds – by 6%, and cotton lint – 8.6%.

The country increased production of cotton fabrics – by 14.6%, mixed fabrics – by 12%, cotton fabrics – 4.6%, stockinet – 5.9%, belting – by 1.9 times.

Output of leather products (16.9 times), hosiery (2.9 times), carpets and carpet products (22.9%) grew in Uzbekistan in the reporting period.
