Uzbek leader receives Lukoil chief to discuss cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbek President Islam Karimov received Russia’s Lukoil president Vagit Alekperov at the presidential residence Oqsaroy on 21 January 2008.

The sides discussed issues of further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Lukoil. The sides also reviewed implementation of the joint projects and development and realization of new ones.

Lukoil is cooperating with Uzbekistan in energy-fuel sector. The Russian company realizes several projects in oil and gas sector.
