Afghan Business Delegation Explores Uzbekistan's Auto Industry
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation of more than 30 Afghan entrepreneurs engaged in the automobile trade is continuing its visit to explore Uzbekistan's automotive industry and market. The visit was organised at the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and is aimed at expanding trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
As part of the programme, the Afghan business representatives visited the Sergeli used car market and the Tashkent Index trade complex. They examined vehicles in demand on the Afghan market, reviewed their prices and technical condition, and held talks with sellers, dealers and exporters on arranging supplies of Uzbek-made vehicles.
The delegation also visited Baner Print, a manufacturer of automotive bumpers and exterior plastic components. The visitors were introduced to the company's full production cycle, manufacturing processes, equipment and export capabilities. The two sides discussed prospects for supplying automotive components to Afghanistan, developing a distribution network and expanding trade cooperation.
In addition, the Afghan entrepreneurs toured the facilities of Global Petrochemical Group and Technology of Real Time. At Global Petrochemical Group, the delegation learned about the production of antifreeze, engine and transmission oils, and other automotive fluids, as well as the company's quality control system and export potential.
At the joint venture Technology of Real Time, the visitors were presented with modern automotive parts manufacturing technologies, the level of localisation and the company's product range.
During the meetings, the parties also discussed prospects for exporting automotive spare parts, technical fluids and lubricants to the Afghan market, as well as developing direct business ties and long-term partnerships.
According to the organisers, the visit is expected to strengthen industrial cooperation between entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, increase export volumes and expand the presence of Uzbekistan's automotive products in the Afghan market.
