Uzbek leader appoints new governor of Samarkand region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a decree on appointment of new governor of Samarkand region on 17 December 2010.

In line with the document, Zoyir Mirzaev has been appointed as governor of Samarkand region. Earlier, Mirzaev worked as governor of Samarkand city.

With other decree, President of Uzbekistan released Uktam Barnoev from the post of governor of Samarkand region.
