Uzbek food industry produces goods for 6.497 trln. soum in 1H

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Food industry of Uzbekistan produced goods for 6.497 trillion soums in the first half of 2015, which grew by 16.9% year-on-year.

The share of industry in industrial production of Uzbekistan made up 15.9%, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

Large enterprises increased production of such consumer products as tined meat (3.2 times), tined meat-vegetable (1.6 times), sugar (1.5 times), bread products (21.2%), butter (17.7%), processed milk (16.1%), tea (16%), bread (loaf from the flour of 1 sort, 11.6%).

Uzbek enterprises also increased production of alcohol tinctures, obtained by distilling grape wine or squeezing grape (+14.0%), mineral water (natural, not sweetened, +1.4 times), tea drinks (+1.4 times) and beer (+5.4%).
