Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Spain defeated France 2-0 in the semifinals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup to reach the tournament final for the first time since 2010.

The match was played in Arlington, Texas. Mikel Oyarzabal opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute. Pedro Porro doubled Spain's lead in the 58th minute.

Spain will face the winner of the second semifinal between England and Argentina, which is scheduled to be played on 15 July, in the World Cup final.

The final will be Spain's second in World Cup history. The team won its first world title in 2010, defeating the Netherlands 1-0 after extra time in the final.
