Kyrgyz Earthquake Felt in Uzbekistan's Ferghana Region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A magnitude 3.6 earthquake struck Kyrgyzstan on the evening of 14 July and was felt in Uzbekistan's Ferghana Region, the Republican Centre for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring under Uzbekistan's Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

The tremor was felt at an intensity of two on the seismic scale in the Ferghana Region.

According to the Centre, the earthquake occurred at 23:37:40. The epicentre was located near the city of Osh in Kyrgyzstan at a depth of 10 kilometres.

The epicentre was 266 kilometres southeast of Tashkent and about 31 kilometres from Uzbekistan's Ferghana Region.

The earthquake's epicentre was located at 40.36 degrees north latitude and 72.14 degrees east longitude.
