Uzbek filmfest awards Iranian animation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An Iranian sports animation has been awarded at the 4th edition of Tashkent International FICTS Festival in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Iran’s Atabak Pazouki received the festival’s Best Director’s Work award for his Peace Drug, which competed with eight animations from around the world.

Pazouki’s production has also won the Special Jury Prize of the fifth Tehran International Animation Festival.

Organized by FICTS (Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs) with the support of the Uzbek Olympic National Committee and the State TV Ministries, the 2009 Tashkent International FICTS Festival was held from 10 to 12 July.
