Uzbek Diplomats Help Released Prisoner Return From Poland

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek diplomats have assisted the return of a citizen who was released on parole from a prison in Poland, the Dunyo news agency reported.

According to the agency, Uzbekistan continues to provide systematic assistance to its citizens who find themselves in difficult circumstances abroad.

With the participation of staff from Uzbekistan's embassy, the Artur Grabowski Law Office and the Polish Border Guard, parole was secured for an Uzbek citizen identified as I.M., a native of Namangan Region.

He had previously been sentenced by a Polish court to three years in prison in connection with a fatal road traffic accident.

Following his release, diplomats, together with the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex), arranged his return to Uzbekistan.

An airline ticket on the Warsaw–Tashkent route was purchased for him, enabling him to return home.
