Uzbek Business Delegation Arrives in Afghanistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation of Uzbek entrepreneurs led by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Davron Vakhabov, has arrived in Afghanistan on a working visit to discuss the further expansion of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The delegation includes around 100 business representatives. It crossed the border via the Termez customs post, where it was welcomed by representatives of the leadership of Afghanistan’s Balkh province and the Afghan Chamber of Commerce.
One of the first stops in the program was a visit to the Astras logistics center located near the Uzbek-Afghan border. Delegation members were briefed on the center’s operations, cargo handling and storage systems, and mechanisms for export-import transactions.
The delegation then visited the Naibabad railway station. During the visit, participants were introduced to existing freight transport schemes, logistics infrastructure, and transport services for foreign trade operations.
They also visited the Mozori Hotel trade center in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif, where they observed business conditions, regional trade infrastructure, and the activities of local entrepreneurs.
The Uzbek business delegation’s visit to Afghanistan is ongoing.
Additional meetings and negotiations are scheduled during the trip, aimed at strengthening bilateral trade and economic ties and expanding cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.
