Ulugbek Lapasov hands over his credentials to Director-General of UN Office in Switzerland

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Permanent Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva Ulugbek Lapasov presented his credentials to the Director-General of the United Nations Office in Switzerland, Michael Möller.

During the ceremony, a brief exchange of views on the state and prospects of Uzbekistan’s relations with the UN was held.

In particular, Möller was informed about large-scale reforms and implementation of the Action Strategy on the five priority development directions of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021.

The UN representative welcomed the ongoing reforms in the country aimed at further developing the national economy and improving the well-being of the population, as well as enhancing Uzbekistan’s interaction with UN structures and international organizations.
