Two Dead in Fire in Uzbekistan’s Yazavan District

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A fire broke out late on 16 June in the Yazavan district of the Ferghana region, resulting in fatalities and property damage, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan said.

According to the ministry, the fire engulfed a non-residential building and three vehicles. Two people were killed in the incident, while three others sustained injuries of varying severity.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Senior officials from the regional emergency department and district services worked at the scene.
