Total turnover of UzEX reaches 1.171 trln. soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Total turnover of exhibition and exhibition-fair trades of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UzEX) made up 1.171 trillion soums in the first quarter of 2011, which is 1.6 times more year-on-year.

The volume of realized high liquid products grew significantly. In particular, the sales of zinc rose 2.3 times, cotton-fiber – 3.5 times, cotton lint – 1.9 times, mineral fertilizers – 2.8 times, coal – 2 times, polyethylene – 1.4 times and technical brimstone – 40 times.

The volume of trades at hard currency platform rose 1.2 times to US$48.9 million, the Ministry of Economy and the State Statistics Committee said in a joint material.
