Three new credit unions registered in Tashkent

Central Bank of Uzbekistan registered three credit unions, located in Tashkent city, in line with legislation of the country, the bank said in its statement.

The statement reads: "In accordance with the Article 17 of the Law "On Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan" and Article 4 of the Law "On credit unions", the Board of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan decided to issue credit union licensees to Union Tash, Optimal-Kredit, and Sanar Kredit companies located in Tashkent city."

The equity capitals of the credit unions were formed through the contribution of monetary funds only: Union Tash – over 70 million soums, Optimal Kredit – 62 million soums and Sanar Kredit – 65 million soums.

The activity of the credit unions will involve taking deposits, the extension of funds for the projects of its member-entrepreneurs, and provision of leasing services to them.
