Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- On 29 November, a meeting was held in the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the representatives of Uzbekistan Resident Mission of Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Uzbekistan.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Ministry, led by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Bobur Khodjaev, as well as the Country director of Uzbekistan Resident Mission of ADB Kanokpan Lao-Araya, a senior economics officer of ADB Begzod Jalilov and a senior officer of ADB Adhamjon Kuchkarov.
The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss projects implemented jointly with ADB and identify priority areas of cooperation for the following years in accordance with the development strategy “Uzbekistan – 2030”.
Initially, an exchange of views took place on projects being implemented this year in the development of small businesses and entrepreneurship, road construction and energy sectors.
The issues of creating favorable conditions for public-private partnership projects to promote quality infrastructure and services, the development of green economy and financial markets, and perspective projects to support microfinance and energy sector were also discussed.
At the end of the meeting, it was emphasized that organizing regular meetings had great importance in strengthening relations.
