The Athletic Includes Abdukodir Khusanov in Top 100 Players for 2026 World Cup

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Athletic has included Uzbekistan national team defender Abdukodir Khusanov among the 100 best players for the upcoming 2026 World Cup, ranking him 86th.

The list is topped by France striker Kylian Mbappé. Norway forward Erling Haaland occupies second place, while Spain winger Lamine Yamal is third. The top ten also features Harry Kane, Pedri, Jude Bellingham, Vinícius Júnior, Lionel Messi, Kevin De Bruyne, and Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The 2026 World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19. The expanded tournament will feature 48 national teams, including Uzbekistan. The group stage draw is scheduled for today.
