Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Tashkent Region has signed cooperation memorandums with South Korean companies K-GREEN Co., Ltd. and ENERSOLAR Co., Ltd. covering joint projects in sports infrastructure and renewable energy.
Tashkent Region Governor Zoyir Mirzaev held meetings with Ko Kwang-man, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Chuncheon, as well as executives of leading South Korean companies.
During a meeting with K-GREEN President and CEO Lee Jae-eun, the sides discussed developing sports infrastructure in Tashkent Region and applying Korean technologies to create modern and safe sports facilities.
K-GREEN specializes in developing flooring for outdoor sports facilities. Its products are characterized by safety, durability, elasticity, slip resistance and effective water drainage.
The sides discussed applying these technologies at sports grounds and other infrastructure facilities in the region, as well as implementing new joint projects.
Separate talks were held with ENERSOLAR President and CEO Woo Jung-hee. The discussions focused on introducing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and energy storage systems (ESS) in Tashkent Region.
The sides also discussed measures to improve the resilience of energy supplies to social facilities and households in need. They considered implementing pilot renewable energy projects, attracting investment and developing long-term cooperation.
During his visit, Zoyir Mirzaev reviewed the companies’ operations, production processes and technical capabilities.
Following the meetings, the sides signed memorandums aimed at expanding practical cooperation.
The agreements provide for new investment projects involving South Korean companies in Tashkent Region.
