Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A bus driver operating route No. 144 in Tashkent has been held disciplinarily liable following an incident that occurred on April 20 at the “Daryo Buyi, 4th passage” stop.

According to JSC Toshshahartranskhizmat, the driver of bus No. 01 433 AGA, employed at the 12th Bus Depot branch, inadvertently closed the vehicle doors before all passengers had exited the bus.

After reviewing the incident, company officials conducted an explanatory session with the driver.

The management decided to cancel performance-based incentive payments intended for high-quality passenger service. The driver also received a formal warning regarding the inadmissibility of similar violations in the future. In case of a repeated incident, the employment contract will be terminated.

The company issued an apology to passengers for the inconvenience caused and emphasized that passenger safety and comfort remain the top priority in public transport operations.

It was also noted that drivers across the network have been reminded of their responsibility for ensuring passenger safety while operating vehicles.
