Syrdarya Discusses New Investments with Chinese Firm

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held at the administration of Syrdarya region between regional governor Erkinjon Turdimov and the president of China Science Assistance Technology Group Co., Ltd. The talks were conducted in a constructive format focused on practical cooperation.

The sides discussed prospects for implementing new projects in the region covering the production sector, innovation and services. Particular attention was given to specific project sites, available opportunities and initiatives that could be implemented in the near term.

The regional governor presented information on the conditions created to attract investment, including developed infrastructure and existing investor support mechanisms. He emphasized the readiness of local authorities to provide comprehensive assistance to projects at an advanced stage of preparation.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to move toward the practical phase of cooperation and to gradually launch joint initiatives.

The collaboration is seen as a step toward expanding the participation of foreign investors in the economy of Syrdarya region.
