Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- In 2023, 130,696 organizations took advantage of tax benefits totaling more than 25.5 trillion soums, the press service of the Tax Committee of Uzbekistan said.
At the same time, 3,369 organizations carried out transactions on financial services without VAT in the amount of 15.5 trillion soums.
Over 8,079 organizations applied a zero VAT rate in the amount of 28.6 trillion soums.
Benefits by type of tax were:
- VAT – 13.1 trillion soums;
- Income tax – 5 trillion soums;
- Social tax – 2 trillion soums;
- Land tax – 1.7 trillion soums;
- Property tax – 1.4 trillion soums;
- Excise tax – 1.2 trillion soums;
- Personal income tax – 1 trillion soums;
- Turnover tax – 78.2 billion soums;
- Tax for the use of water resources – 28.6 billion soums.
Based on the opinion of international experts, VAT amounts for financial services and as a result of the application of the zero rate are accounted for separately.
According to the Statistics Agency, as of 1 January 2024, the number of enterprises and organizations operating in Uzbekistan (excluding dehkan farms and farms) is 485,000 units, of which 417,100 units are small enterprises and microfirms.
