Smart governance and safety system launched in Tashkent district
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Khokimiyat (district administration) of Mirzo-Ulugbek district in Tashkent to review ongoing projects in digital governance and public safety.
During the visit, the President inspected a newly constructed bridge over the Salar canal near the administration building, reviewed landscaping works in the surrounding area, and took part in a tree-planting ceremony. He was also presented with the renovated premises of the district administration.
It was noted that Mirzo-Ulugbek district holds historical significance, as Mirziyoyev led the district administration between 1992 and 1996. An exhibition was organized in the building dedicated to that period, including a recreated office and vehicle, archival materials, and key decisions made during his tenure. The President also shared memories from his time as district head.
A key focus of the visit was the introduction of modern digital governance solutions. A situational center has been established within the administration, operating a platform called “Smart District” based on artificial intelligence technologies.
The system enables real-time analysis of citizen complaints, identification of urgent issues, and coordination of public services. It provides continuous online communication with local community representatives, monitors social and коммунal issues, and tracks the execution of public requests. In emergency situations, the platform supports rapid coordination among responsible agencies.
The system also includes “Safe District,” designed to monitor violations and improve public safety.
In addition, a digital map of business entities has been introduced to forecast tax revenues and improve administrative efficiency. The “AI Davomat” system is used to monitor school attendance and help prevent juvenile neglect.
Similar digital solutions have already been implemented in Chilanzar, Shaykhantakhur, and Almazar districts of the capital.
Following the visit, the President instructed authorities to expand the system across all districts of Tashkent and recommended that regional leaders, law enforcement, and supervisory bodies study the Mirzo-Ulugbek model for wider application nationwide.
