Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A formal ceremony was held at the Olympic City complex in Tashkent to present state awards to a group of young citizens who have made significant contributions to the development of the country.
The event, timed to coincide with Youth Day, was attended by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Young men and women who demonstrated outstanding results in their studies, work, and public life were honored with the "Mard O'g'lon" (Brave Son) state award and the "Kelajak Bunyodkori" (Builder of the Future) medal, in accordance with a presidential decree and resolution issued on June 29.
During his address, the head of state highly praised the intellectual and creative potential of the new generation of Uzbekistani citizens. The President emphasized that today's youth are the direct successors of great ancestors who laid the foundations of the First and Second Renaissances and made fundamental contributions to global science and civilization.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev specifically noted that this historical legacy imposes not only a sense of pride on young citizens but also an immense responsibility toward society. The head of state called upon the laureates to become the primary driving force capable of forging a solid foundation for a new era of national revival—the Third Renaissance.
Following his official address, the President personally presented the medals and state award diplomas to the recipients. The leader of Uzbekistan congratulated the awardees on behalf of the entire nation, wishing them continued creative energy to reach new professional and personal heights.
In their response, the honored young individuals expressed gratitude for the comprehensive state support and the conditions created for their self-realization, reaffirming their readiness to dedicate their knowledge, talents, and initiatives to the future prosperity of their homeland.
