Shavkat Mirzioyoev expresses condolences to Cuba
Shavkat Mirzioyoev sent a letter of condolences to Raul Modesto Castro Ruz, Chairman of State Council and Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, in connection with the death of the politician and statesman Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz.
The statement said that Fidel Castro, as a true and loyal patriot of his country, became recognized as a founder of modern Cuba, laid a solid foundation of its statehood, showed a courage in defending the independence and sovereignty of the country.
Fidel Castro always supported the Uzbek-Cuban friendly relations, cooperation and mutual respect, Mirziyoyev noted in his letter. He said that Uzbekistan remembers visit of Fidel Castro to Uzbekistan and friendly meetings.
“We sincerely share the pain and grief of the Cuban freedom-loving people”, the letter of Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
